Tove Styrke - Mainstream Swedish Synthpop

For a long time it seemed like synthpop fans had to go to the underground synthpop movement in order to get top quality synthpop.  Today, though, with the recent successes of mainstream synthpop bands like Owl City, The Killers (okay, only some of their songs are synthpop), Capital Cities, M83, MGMT, etc., synthpop is mainstream again and can be heard on over-the-air radio consistently.

One example of this is the Swedish singer Tove Styrke and her self titled debut album.  While you probably won't hear her songs played much in America (though you should because it's excellent), she's popular in Sweden and around the world.  She competed in Swedish Idol 2009 (Sweden's version of American Idol), and released her debut album on Epic Europe in 2012.

Within the last year or so I've become a fan.  Her songs are pure synthpop and her voice is great.  Check out some of her best songs in the videos below.
